60th Birthday Celebration at Sushi King

On the occasion of my 60th birthday, my family brought me to the Sushi King Japanese Seafood restaurant in Kelana Mall.

Snugged into a cozy corner table,we ordered our bento boxes and grab a few choices from the carousel belt.

After a dinner spread of shasimi, sushi, umaiya(pregnant fish), saba, tempura, cawan mushi, miso soup, green tea and green tea ice-cream too, my family suprised me by bringing in a cake which they surreptitiously kept hidden in the car.

After photo shots, I blew out the token candle on the cake, after praying for blessings for a happy and healthy life and the love of a devoted family.

After the usual Birthday song, my daughter sang the birthday song in versions of Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Japanese and Korean.

Memorable dinner to treasure with the family.

A milestone event.

Dinner at Bukit Jalil Golf Club on 3rd March 2012

Yes, it is rare, often infrequent and irregular for a group of friends to meet.

Called them what you may, there are colleagues that turn into fast friends and there are those who will forever remain as ex-colleagues because there is hardly a need for contact or ever be.

For my ex-colleagues at the Ministry of Science, we have only managed to meet once in the last lost decade.

So, when our friend, Siok Eng sponsored two tables at her Chinese Wellness Exercise Association Annual dinner or should I say, movement,at the Bukit Jalil Golf Club, with gladdened hearts, we went there to renew our bond with these friends.

Dinner was fair.

I was thankful to meet Dato' Cheah, Jini, Khoh Joo Bee, Phang (FRIM)KS Chee, BK Teoh and Leck Cheng.

As usual, we made plans to meet again.

Question is when.
