The Passing on of My Grandad in 1986

Before the cortege leaves
My grandfather lived to the grand old age of 95 or so.

Party our last respects

A classic modern Lazarus, he was struck with sickness and was bed-ridden for many years.

One fine day, he recovered and lived many more years before he wane to the be with the Lord.

Form 3 at JASES (1967)
I had my share of Tom Brown School days, though not at Rugby.

Two good years (1968-1969)
My school days were spent in Jasin, Bukit Baru and Malacca.

Form 6-Where are they now?
I also had some wonderful memories of outings to Port Dickson and to the Sagil Golf Club.

Bangkok Trip 1984

Floating Memories
Along with Lee Kiyao Loo and his wife and Swee Yeong, we had a tour of Thailand particularly to Pattaya, Chiangmai and downtown Bangkok in December 1984.

What I remembered most is stuck in a hotel room in Chiangmai suffering from a bad bout of diarrhea.

Jan Lim-A Distant Past

Bygone Days
I knew this girl when we were staying in SS2,Petaling Jaya.

We were renting out one of our vacant rooms and she answered the advert.

Pretty Thing
In roared a Fiat Sports Car driven by a bearded man called Raymond and this girl.

She told us she worked for Cathay Pacific as a stewardess.

I think life dealt her a mean hand and she took her life in 1984.

The Sad News
It has been close to three decades now since her passing.

I will write more about Jan Lim in another post.
