Jessie-Burnt Out Star?

Being Dubbed Ms Tow Truck
She created waves especially during that first infamous debate between Lim Guan Eng and Chua Soi Lek.

Jessie Ooi earned the wrath of many Malaysians when she posed a silly question on night parking charges and tow-trucking in Penang.

I thought that she was moving upwards especially since there are not many potentially great female  candidates for MCA for the next General election.

That she lost her commandeering post as BN Coordinator of Selayang is truly disappointing.

Is she being shunted and on the way out?

Sad, if that becomes reality.

More Bourne on the Way?

Tired of Being Bourne
We all thought that when Robert Ludlum died, there will be no more Bourne after  The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and the Bourne Ultimatum.

Then someone ghost-wrote The Bourne Legacy. Matt Damon also refused to reprise the role of Bourne in this new film. With that the promise of another box office buster dissipated.

Rough and Tough-Will He Be Accepted as Bourne?
Watching the movie with Jeremy Renner as Bourne is akin to having Daniel Craig as James Bond in his first outing. I think it will be a matter of time before Jeremy  takes his rightful place on this challenging role as Bourne.

My opinion of the movie. Slow, dialogy and lack punch.

Could do with better editing

Question is will the audience be tired of this series since there are still  another 6 more new books to go.

We have :

The Bourne Betrayal
The Bourne Sanction
The Bourne Deception
The Bourne Objective
The Bourne Dominion and
The Bourne Imperative

Since  The Bourne Legacy ended up with no suitable ending leaving the audience high and dry, perhaps the producers may want to take another chance on Jeremy Renner.

Let us see whether that will come true.

Playing Hosts to a Returning Friend

Ah Soo and  Another Malaysian
The diaspora of USM is far-flung but mostly they settled down in good-old Perth.

We now have a thriving USM community there.

For us, we have Esther Tan  and   Fuan Kwee, and Ah Soo.

For me, there is my old class-mate from St. David's-William Chua and his wife, Honey.

Also William' s brother David and Frankie and two elder sisters, Doris and  Helen are now natives in Perth.

Ah Soo and Ah Moi
I think Ah Soo was back either in 2012 or last year. We played host then  at La La Chong Seafood Restaurant in Sungai Kayu Ara.

Somewhere in China
Not too sure on the year. Need to check on that.

Anyway, we are playing hosts to Ah Soo at Ting's Cafe in SS2 on 12th December.

Both Lee Kiang and me have gone to see Harriet for a customised menu.

The Wong Family

This time, Ah Soo and his wife, Ah Moi will be present as well.

Must Be Misty Cold!
There are a dozen of us and we hope to have a swell time!
