Niagara Falls Frozen-A Rare Occurrence in 1911

Niagara actually froze in 1911.

Solid state
A picture tells a million words!

Gone-Almost......

Suspenseful
The movie "Gone" has built-up thanks to the editing of the movie.

It is generally tight to give the suspense as the movie develops.

A simple plot has Jill been abducted to be killed by a serial killer.

Charming Amanda
However, she escapes but no one believed her because her story that she was kept in a deep hole in a public forest reserve was unbelievable and thus she was sent to a mental institution.

After leaving the institution, she sought her would-be killer and took sweet revenge.

The movie should have ended with the revenge scene but the extra footage of Jill sending the photos of the victims  to the police department to show that everything was not in her mind shows some amateurism on the part of the director.

Adorable
Otherwise, enjoy the really good acting of Amanda Seyfried!

Schwarzenegger's Last Stand

Fun time with Arnold
One can't get the feeling that these are perhaps "the last leg" movies of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The earlier one was The Expendables where he played a cameo role.

Here in The Last Stand, he took the role of an old retiring sheriff of a small border town on the US side across from the Mexican border.

Smothering Genesis!
A dull town turned into a battle zone when a drug lord tried to escape to the Mexican side driving a sports car.

The contest of vehicles across a corn field is truly refreshing when you remembered the earlier outing in Prime Cut with Lee Marvin many eons ago.

The movie may have its fair share of cliques and movie silliness but it was interesting generally.

Vivacious Jamie Alexander
Providing the eye candy here are obviously the amorous Genesis Rodriguez and  Jamie Alexander.
