Gods at the Central Market!

Oh, yes in my gallivanting down KL yesterday morning, I also took some shots of the Chinese God figurines on sale at the Central Market. There was one that almost wanted to be a god as well, Napolean!

As it was still dark, some of the the photographs did not come out well.

The Folk Gods of the Chinese

Yes, they have Gods for almost everything. Chinese ,mostly love the God of Prosperity. To most Chinese who are in business, the God of Commerce is equally important.

To the ordinary Chinese, they will be contented with the 3 Gods called 'Fu, Look, Shou'. These three Gods which you find in most Chinese homes represents the 3 important things in life-'Fook' symbolises Luck, 'Look' symbolises longevity and 'Shou', Health.

Here are some Gods. There is rich history behind how some mortals becomes immortals. Kwan Kung, the God of Wealth had a double transformation. From a mere mortal, he became the God of War and today he is the God of Wealth.

Delicious Deepika

Yes, she has stolen many hearts.

This young nubile actress hailing from Bangalore has taken the Indian fashion world by storm. She is the TISSOT watch ambassadress and played the kinky model in that cheeky Levi Signature advertisement.

I now showcase the beauty of this angel.

The springtime of Deepika. What wondrous joys she brings!

Cake Hampers for Ramadan

Perchance I was at Central Market this morning. It was still very early hours and most stallholders have yet to open up shop. So I moseyed around and try to see what are the changes in this so-called art market?

Since it is the month of Ramadan, all the artist are missing. I hope they are still there.

I managed to take some photographs of cake hampers that were displayed in the Central Market. They never had things like this in the past. The Malay community is really opening up to modernization or are they?
