MCA: What are Your Principles?

Embattled MCA President Ong Tee Kiat , in a rejoinder to PM Najib's comment that MCA must find not only a legally correct solution but also a morally and politically acceptable one, said his call for fresh polls points exactly in that direction.

He added, MCA desperately needs leaders who have the mandate of the members. Not having fresh new elections will allow certain leaders to take a shortcut to the top, thereby unfairly boosting their political careers.

At this juncture of his political career, Ong is increasingly alone in the party’s top ranks after losing a vote of no-confidence against his leadership in an EGM on Oct 10.

Three days ago, MCA’s central committee pressured him to resign but he refused to do so. Instead, he called for a second EGM to vote on whether to hold fresh elections or to endorse the leadership led by him.

So what do we have in MCA?

Do we have leaders of principles or are the unscrupulous going to rule the roost at MCA?

The way I see it, MCA is spiraling into a black hole. It will stay in the dark void if it continues to have leaders who are morally corrupted and cannot face defeat in the face!
