The pinnacle of an international beauty pageant she did reached and came home crowned as the world’s third most beautiful woman! The saga of one beautiful lass-Lina Teoh.
Coaxed into joining the 1998/99 Miss Malaysia pageant by another beauty queen, Arianna Teoh;Angelina Teoh, better known as Lina Teoh, won the ticket to represent the country at the Miss World 1988 contest in Mahe Island,Seychelles. She came in third place. This was the highest position ever known to be won by a Malaysian competitor since then.
In 1998, Lina also came in a runner up as an artiste in the Asian Television Awards for her uptight lawyer role in the hit series Kopitiam. (I remembered I watched the series intensely because of Lina!)
With these two feathers to her cap, the floodgates opened to her to secure choice presenter roles on regional television programmes such as of Positively AM and Woman to Woman.
Lina was educated in Australia and her father is Chinese and her mother,Dutch.
Lina is currently involved in the education industry and is currently serving as ambassador for the Malaysian Nature Society.
