What snatch thieves? These are daylight robbers.Snatch thieves are opportunistic and they just wait for a chance to make off with your handbags or sling bags. Not these!
These days they are on the watch-out for lady drivers in small compact cars. When the cars come to a traffic stop, they will act! They will quickly break your window with a hammer or anything hard like a helmet.
Normally armed and wielding a threatening samurai sword length parangs, the robbers will ensure you do nothing to stop them while they relieve you of your bags and other valuables. As ladies panicked easily, they are oftentimes in shock to react.
The advice given these days by the police is: Do not put your hand-bags or sling bags on the seats of cars. Put them all into your booth or at the bottom of the seats.

Will the Real Spiderman, please climb up?
Alain Robert is the icon of all climbers. He has scaled 85 giant structures around the globe including many of the world's tallest structures, most of which he scaled using only his bare hands and climbing shoes.
How did his so-called climbing career started?
Forgetting his house keys one day,Robert simply scaled the exterior wall of his parents' eighth-floor apartment to his home. He compounded his skill by scaling rock cliffs in the area around his home.
No doubt, we hear mostly about his successes. But fell he did on two occasions. In 1982 he suffered two accidents, the first at the age of 19 and the second at the age of 20. He suffered multiple fractures and suffered from permanent vertigo. The doctors considered him 60 percent handicapped and told him he would not be able to climb again. However, within 6 months he was climbing again. He kept taking on more and more challenging structures and improving his skills. He polished his rock- climbing skills in the French Alps before turning his focus to buildings.
The buildings that Robert has scaled successfully include Eiffel Tower,Sydney Opera House, Montparnasse Tower,the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur;Sears Tower in Chicago; the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw;Luxor Obelisk in Place de la Concorde, France;National Bank of Abu Dhabi, UAE;Taipei 101,Cheung Kong Centre in Hong Kong; Europa Tower in Vilnius;Torre Vasco da Gama in Portugal; Santa Fe World Plaza in Mexico City;Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Jin Mao Building in Shanghai;
the Federation Tower office building in Moscow;Portland House building in London;Four Seasons Place in Hong Kong;New York Times Building in New York City; and Lloyd's building in London.
He has also successfully scaled the 1,518 metres (4,980 ft) Tianmen mountain to promote tourism for the provincial authority in China.
He was caught again scaling the Petronas Twin Towers this morning. This time he conquered the full height of the Twin Towers. Bravo! (1 September 2009).He was subsequently arrested and jailed for a night and then fined RM2,000 for trespass.
This man is a respected hero in his own way. He is the only SPIDERMAN. Forget that comic character!

Nicolekiss-A Blogger to Kiss for...
I am pasting this small entry from Jojo's blog, hoping she does not mind. I will take it off, if I should so much as hear a pip from her
At a shoot covering Project Alpha showcasing competitive bloggers, Jojo came across this dazzling blogging beauty. Apparently she is "a long term" resident of Sunway Resort Hotel. I am obviously as curious as Jojo when her name is Nicolekiss! Seems she wrote for THE STAR.
When asked, the genesis of this strange sounding name, Nicolekiss tells that it is not the sort of kiss that people oftentimes associate with.Definitely not the smooch on pretty lips! She says hers is more of the Hershey kisses kind. God knows, what she meant......Jojo informs us from her blog that Nicolekiss is a lover of chocolate! As usual, curious Jojo wondered how does Nicolekiss stayed so slim!
Nicolekiss, there is more to chocolates, I am sure that keeps your slim and supple in spite of chocolates! Pray tell what is the antidote. Exercise regime, strict diet apart from chocolates, and beauty sleep?
Nicolekiss is a great traveler. She has amazing videos from all over the world. She's been to so many countries and gets paid as a blogger to write about her travels. What a cool job!I wonder whether she has any favourite drooling romeo currently at her feet!
How do you like Nicolekiss? Fetching?

Caution on Aspirins
While many are advised to take a low dose of aspirin to prevent the occurrence of heart attacks,a current British study has found that for healthy people, taking one a day to ward off heart attacks could be dangerous.Healthy people taking a daily dose of aspirin to prevent heart attacks may be doing themselves more harm than good,so say scientists say.
British researchers has now found that the risks of bleeding from taking aspirin in routine use in healthy people "cannot be supported" - although they did not dispute its use in patients with a history of vascular problems.
The results of the Aspirin for Asymptomatic Atherosclerosis (AAA) study add to a long-running debate about whether the potential dangers of taking aspirin could outweigh the benefits from reducing the risk of clots.
"We know that patients with symptoms of artery disease, such as angina, heart attack or stroke, can reduce their risk of further problems by taking a small dose of aspirin each day," said Professor Peter Weissberg, medical director of the British Heart Foundation which helped fund the research.
"The findings of this study agree with our current advice that people who do not have symptomatic or diagnosed artery or heart disease should not take aspirin, because the risks of bleeding may outweigh the benefits."
The study was led by Professor Gerry Fowkes from the Wolfson Unit for Prevention of Peripheral Vascular Diseases in Edinburgh, Scotland, and presented at the European Society of Cardiology Congress in Barcelona on Sunday.
It involved 3,350 men and women aged 50 to 75 years whose tests reveal a condition where the arteries in their legs were furred up - but who had no symptoms of heart disease or history of heart attack.
They were given either a daily 100 mg dose of aspirin or a placebo (a dummy pill) and monitored over eight years.
While there was no difference in the number of heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular events suffered, major bleeding occurred in two per cent of the aspirin group compared to just 1.2 per cent of the placebo group.
So looks like the jury is still out there though we need more positive research findings to help them reach a conclusive verdict.

Scenes at the Pasar Ramadan at Kelana Jaya
Yesterday, I went to the Kelana Jaya Pasar Ramadan. This is actually a make shift cooked food market catering for the breaking of fast for Muslims in Malaysia. All sorts of food and drinks are on sale. Specialty foods from Kelantan, Johor, Kedah and other states are all in great demand.
Compare to the last year Pasar, prices have gone up nearly 25%. Have a look at some of the pictures I took at this market. They tell a story especially unique of the Malaysian demography.
