Starbucks, We are F.......ked! Royally So!

Losing its luster?
Vincent has lost his magic touch. That is almost sure by the way most of his counters are floundering.

As for Robin, he is now in limboland. Will some seeds help?

Remember the failed listing on the Bursa of Berjaya Retail? Crying shame.

What about fly-high BJ Sports Toto? Dwarfed like Uranus.......

BJ Land-prices has slid down the tube...........to the inner depths.

BJ Corp-too many machinations. We have lost the plot here after the delisting of Cosway from Hong-Kong.

BJ Media-out of the news with such lo,low prices...its chokingly sickening.

BJ Assets-also sliding.............

Thought that one great hope was BJ Foods with its expansion plans and absorption of 50% of the South-east Asian Starbucks franchise.

No, but that is where I got it wrong.

The counter before and after ex was a killer for loyal shareholders.

The prices of the counter is nearing morgue prices as we get nearer to the new rights and warrants listing on 13 August.

Do we have to do a post mortem on a half dead counter?

The Berjaya Group management must be hiding in the woodworks by now.

Fear is the Key

Fear is Crippling
Malaysia is suffering from perception problems.

Crime is low as bailed out by police statistics.

But then, why is there fear in the air?

Why are shops and offices closing so much earlier than usual?

Is there a key to safeguard the innocent populace?

Why is that worried, hurried,' looking over your shoulder' look so prevalent these days that we see almost everywhere as dusk falls?

Like from some bad movies.

The truth?

Somewhere beyond statistics.

The number of crime graphically described  in the virtual social network from blogs to Facebook attest to the horrors of street crimes and daylight robberies. The frequency of such happenings is shocking. The apparent fear is no one can be safe anymore.

Politically, in Sabah in various districts are purported reports of being overwhelmed by foreign elements. Fear is real;no longer apparent.

Are our borders that porous?

Or is that problem an opportunity for many to maintain the status quo politically as fear is the key?

Angela's Happiness Pursuit. Don't We All?

Angelina Jolie wants happiness in her heart. That is key.

We all desire that too-to live not in fear.

To be secure in our search for happiness.

Is Malaysia safe anymore?

Gratings,Fencing and Danger

When times get bad, the bad gets going.

Look!  Wahloi! It's gone!
And so it seems.......................

So, in one fell swoop, the raiders of metal gratings stormed into SEAPARK, PJ in the wee hours of one morning and pried away these metal pieces that is meant for drain  maintenance. They then fenced it off to unscrupulous traders in the metal trade for quick cash.

My way
These man-hole covers are really important, providing public safety. You can literally fell into one exposed manhole and break some of your teeth!

Red Flagging
When I was in Manila a couple of decades back, a few of us Malaysian students at the Asian Institute of Management were on the way to the residence of the Malaysian Ambassador to have dinner in conjunction with Merdeka Day.

Tyre Deterrent
Walking on the pavement, one of our friends Kee Boo just disappeared. Suddenly we heard a moan and then a shout. Mama Mia! He has fallen into a uncovered man-hole. Fortunately, except for some cuts on the arms, Kee Boo had one lucky escape.

Plank will do
See the novel ways residents have temporarily covered these dangerous walk-way gaps.

The local authorities must find a way of sealing such gratings in some permanent ways to deter thieves such as attaching them semi-permanently on to the concrete.

Sugarcane leaves? Scary-lah this one!
