YTL Power Warrants Subscription-Leap of Faith?

I do not know how much YTL Power will be tomorrow as it is the last day for trading for YTL WR.

I guess it may go up to RM1.66 to shore up the prices of YTL WR and YTL Power Warrants 08/18.

That will mean that YTL WR will end at about  23 sen. YTL Power Warrants will similarly go back to RM 0.45 sen.

So for YTL Corp holders of the WR, what next if you have not sold as the session ends at 5 pm tomorrow?

A friend of mine is thinking of buying whatever he is given and he will top it all up to 10,000 units in excess application.

This will mean an outlay of RM 2,000,  RM 10 revenue stamp and RM 10 for the bank draft charges. Total subscription charges will add up to RM 2,020.

So, he will be praying hard that the YTL Power Warrants will be offered to him . Also he hopes it will not fall below 35 sen when he can start trading it.

Disposing it at RM 0.35 sen will net him RM 150.00 x  10 =  RM 1,459.00 nett after deducting RM 31.00 for brokerage and RM 20 for revenue stamp and bank draft charges.

Home from South Korea

Jeju Island  was fun, they told me

By Saturday, 6 October at 10.40 pm my wife and daughter were back from South Korea.

As the LRT had to choose this night to inconvenience us by stopping service at 11 pm, I had to drive to KL Sentral along with my son to fetch them.

From the station to  our home, they were talking non-stop about the places that they have just visited including the behaviour of some of their tour-mates.

There were many negative stories they told of their experiences.

While my wife tend to take umbrage at many things,my daughter took it as more of a learning experience.

Whatever their perspectives, we were glad to have them back, even after a week.

As usual they bought back something for us from Korean pizza, sea-weed, nick-nacks to Korean ice-cream.

Well, until their next destination outward bound, they are now filling the pinch in the purse and trying to tie lose ends in their accounts.

Astro did its balloting on the 4 October 2012.

To date, those who did e-application got their returned monies back today if they failed to secure any shares.

The chances are slim though there is a rumour going on that the blue forms were under-subscribed and had to be balloted along with the public portion.

The pink forms were guaranteed winners!

Slim pickings 

For those who applied for 1000 shares, the chances are only 16.14% and only 1,100 applicants
will take home an allotment.

I applied for one 1000 shares and 1 lot of 500 shares. The 500 shares application has returned and I lost RM 1 gambling money!

Question is will I be successful in the 1,000 share allotment since there is no return of cash to my account at this material time?

So, when will I know if I do or didn't?
