To recap the apparent scenarios:

The manipulative days in London of the taikoh turncoats who threw away the Chinese demands before it reach the Merdeka negotiation table are over.

The golden days of Tan Cheng Lock and Tan Siew Sin have been relegated into the dustbin of MCA history.

The championing days of gung-ho Lee San Choon as he stood  against  DAP's Chen Man Hin and won in a Chinese majority area of Seremban  are fully forgotten.

The bitter fight between Neo Yee Pan and Tan Koon Swan had plunged the party to new depths and led to the incarceration of the latter in a Singaporean prison and the former into political wilderness.

The sudden thrust into the limelight of the junior-status MCA president Ling Liong Sik who could hardly "talk " with PM Mahathir on the same level and which the later apparently completely disdained.

The sad and sterile Ong Ka Ting days where the MCA is just a stringer party where even third echelon UMNO leaders can chastise MCA in public in absolute glee and gloat at its impotency.

The brief Ong Tee Keat days when nothing but in-fighting occurs and the larger agenda of the Chinese continue to be forgotten.

The current 'eunuch' days of Chua Soi Lek where seemingly nothing said or done can ever benefit Chinese, both young and old.

The mummification process has started in earnest haste as the party is rolled along in the political desert like tumbleweeds in the wind.

Will the 13th GE be MCA's sad  finale and curtain fall?

Falling with a Thud!

The last two days were really nail-biting misery for many.

There was  that huge fall at the end of January.

On Monday, it went down, then it steadied a bit on Tuesday.

Today it went down almost 20 points.

Let us see the performance of some falling stars.

At the end of December, Public Bank  was rising steadily to RM 16.26. Looking at today's price of RM 15.74, that is a fall of 3.3%. As for PPB it was RM 13.26 at its height in December 2012. Today it is sitting at RM 12.16 representing a fall of 7.6%.

Let us look at Dig.com. Its' height was at RM 5.33. Today it has gone way,way down at RM 4.66 and that is a percentage loss of 12.6%.

Axiata also did not perform. From its height of RM 6.70, it has lost 8% of its share value to RM 6.16.

Let's look at two more conglomerates. MRCB went down from RM 1.61 to RM 1.25. This is a decline of  36 sen or 22% loss.

Then what about DRB? Not spared as well. From its height of RM 2.70, it is today at RM 2.55,  That's a haircut of 5.5%.

Finally let us look at YTL Corp. It falling on its face. From a height of RM 1.77 in December, it is now at a low ebb of RM 1.58 .This meaning a shaving of  10.7%.

With only two trading days left before CNY, I think there will be a visible lack of buyers.

That means bears will be on a bargain rampage to bring down prices.

The Dying Bull and Retail Flight

BSKL in Death throes?

Pablo Picasso's painting on "The Dying Bull" is the most apt reflection of the plight of the BSKL.

With the impending 13th GE and the uncertainties in the next 90 days, foreign investors have left in droves. Some that insist on staying have shifted to more durable counters.

The broader market especially second liners have been caving in; losing possibly about  3% weekly.

Retailers have taken flight and have cash in the hcips and day traders are taking a long leave for the Chinese New Year.

I wonder when will this cheap sale stop.

For the next few sessions I will trace how the darlings of the earlier bull run have been decimated slowly by bears that will paw down prices even in minimal quantities of 100 units.

I will start with the conglomerate counters followed by property counters and the the construction sector.

After that, we should look at the more durable counters like hospitality and telecommunications.

Unless you hold solid blue chips such as Nestle,GAB,F&N and BAT, this is the time to review your stock holdings.

Remember its is better to be sad than sorry and it will definitely be easy on your mind and heart to leave only little stock holdings on BSKL.

Sell whatever holdings you have and sit tight until you see a firm post 13 GE government in place. By then, you will have all the pick you want of good blue chips from the true blues such as BAT and Nestle to the second-echelon like  KLK, PPB, PBB,LPI to Aeon.

You can bet your last ringgit that there will be no run-up of stock prices to the Chinese New Year. It is just too late, my friend!

 If at all there is action, these are generated by snakes in the market, they are bargain hunters pawing down prices day by day.

By Wednesday 6th February, the exodus will start outstation for the new year and the following two trading days will be dull, by all counts.

After the Chinese New Year, the specter of the impending elections will drive away both foreign investors and local retail traders will scurry away like rats hiding whatever returns they can squirrel off with.

A glance across the board after the bloody slaughter of January 2013 indicates that there is nothing of a ghost of a chance for recovery at all.

The listlessness of the current market will go on into deeper melancholia when the Johore State assembly has to be dissolved by 21 March.

BSKL will become a graveyard of sorts soon.

While the Selangor State government threatens to dissolved itself after Chap Goh Mei, the DAP-led State government of Penang has decided to go the distance as they need only dissolved legally 4 days after the Federal Parliament does.

I would expect all other states to follow the cue by PM Najib.

As it will likely be a hot-breath fight to the finish for both sides with a Pyrrhic victory in store  for the winning side,the BSKL will die a slow death.

As uncertainties are expected from a loss of BN in the polls to a fragmented PR win, they will kill whatever life that is left on the bourse!

The current BN government as well as the pension funds are collecting FGV shares at the expense of other blue chips. Their efforts are fast coming to naught as the counter is slumping every day. Even EPF members has to suffer because of politics.

Best bet- leave while you have time.

After Mr Wichai (Tao), aged 24, from Songkram, who earns his living by dealing in old goods, got married to gorgeous twins Ms Sirintara and Ms Thipawan 22, he vouched his sincerest 'equal love' for both of them. 

Mr Wichai got married in pompous ceremony to both twins simultaneously.

On being interviewed by the Thai Rath reporters, Mr Wichai declared wholeheartedly, that he didn't see much problem in having to perform tiresome marital duties with two wives.  In the engagement ceremony before the wedding, Mr Wichai successfully offered a dowry ofeight baht of gold and 80,000 baht EACH for his lovely darlings.  Both families celebrated the marriage with joy and were said to be delighted for the threesome.

Mr Wichai told the press that he had been best of friends with his neighbouring twins since they were children. "When I grew older, I would walk past their house each morning and try to decide for myself which one I fancied more, but it was darned impossible - adored BOTH of them - I just couldn't decide, which one of them to chat up....!" 

He went on to say "For three continuous years all three of us would go on dates together, until there was one day when I couldn't stand the frustration any longer and told them I love you and want to marry you BOTH "   The fortunate Mr Wichai, instead of getting a slap in the face, was overjoyed when both girls admitted to having sworn all along, that they wished to marry the same man! " 

It wasn't easy at first, what with the neighbours gossiping, but our family sympathized, understood, and fully supported our mutual love for the one man" the twins said. 

Mr Wichai arranged for his brides to live with him, in his family house after the wedding, and his mother has alread y proudly prepared TWO rooms for the newly-weds. 

Our reporters were just gagging to hear the response to this mouth-watering question "And.... what are the sleeping arrangements Mr Wichai"?   To which he replied modestly with a beaming smile

"Absolutely no problems! For the first three nights of the week, I will sleep with Ms Thipawan and the next three will be spent with Ms Sirintara. As for every Saturday, the three of us will sleep together! " Ms Sirintara finally told the press 

"When my twin and I worked as assistant nurses, we promised each other that we would never leave each others side, and that our future husband would have to either take us both, or leave us" "

Anyway, Mr Wichai is the perfect man - he neither smokes nor drinks!"
