Andre Rieu-That's Entertainment for You

Fun and Delight with Andre!
I like the European maestros.

They know how to conceive a fantabulous night for you.

They revile in bringing joy to your hearts and a spring in your walk.

Tenor Power
Their-music-the orchestration was absolutely precise as it arouse in you the inclination to get up and dance too.

That was Andre Rieu  in concert in an open space in Vienna in 2007.

Flight of gaiety
This maestro is wickedly funny, spewing bawdy lines in German which kept the audience in stitches, almost throughout the concert.

This man can relate as the crowd laughed and cried with joy at his music.

I enjoyed fully the 2 hours and 15 minutes of the DVD.

The 'Blue Danube' is beyond words.

See it to believe!

BHIC : A Fishing Trawler at Work

Dullard Counter
The scene is on the high seas.

The industry is ship repairs and allied works

The company is one of the big Malaysian hongs helmed by the Armed Forces Cooperatives.

The counter is Boustead Heavy Industries Berhad (BHIC).

It has been moving quite well from RM 2.00 up to the RM 2.50 level.

It has anchored very long time at this stop.

Obvious reason. It is a dull counter. Little trading.

A remote possibility for privatisation? Sure, that was the same reason they gave when they privatised UAC.

I have been watching this counter keenly on the Odd Lot market to buy some BHIC shares.

Lonesome Trawler
Believe me, there is a lonely trawler out there pegging 84 shares daily at RM 3.15. This is way,way above the going price of RM 2.50.

There are some disinterested buyers on the other end sticking to their guns at RM 2.25 to RM 2.00

I do not expect any trading with this kind of wide margin.

Let us see what this trawler is up to.

He must either be  Ahab or the Ancient Mariner.

Irrespective, is he fishing for a sperm whale?

The Apparition on the Window Pane

Do you believe?
Sime Darby Medical Centre is getting more visitors these days.

No, I am not talking of patients or those who visit the patients during visitor's hours.

What does it portend?
These days we have many curious devotees coming to look at an apparition on a window pane, supposedly that of Virgin Mary. Some were snapping photos such as the one I have posted.

It appears so certainly as can be sen by the robes that Mary is clad in and the halo above her head.

What is the Message?
Do you belief?

What is the message?

If you do believe, what do you think it portends for the world and humankind?

Asset Declaration-Beginning of Transparency

Caught on the Wrong Foot?
I see an apparent trend towards political transparency in Malaysia.

While BN Ministers and other Federal and BN-led State political administrators declare their assets only to the Prime minister, the PR state governments have started the ball rolling by declaring their assets to the public, mainly through the internet.

The Forerunner
First to do so was the PKR-led state of Selangor which did that in 2008.

This year the DAP-led State government did a similar thing.

Not too late
Now, the Youth Wing of PAS has just recommended that PAS political administrators and candidates for the 13th GE do likewise. Two PAS state leaders have also endorsed this move.

It looks like this will become a trend that will gain traction.

A Level Playing Field
Will BN respond and do likewise so that the field for the next GE will become a level-playing field?

That begs the RM 64,000 question.

Taken 2- More Action-Luc Beeson Style

Nail Biting Action
Luc Beeson spins magic around this movie.

Liam is more sluggish now
Hard-hitting, bone crunching, neck breaking action. That is what you get from watching Taken 2.

Captivating Allure
Reprising his role is an older Liam Neeson, this time being taken along with his ex-wife played by the Dutch beauty, Famke Janssen.

Sexy
Maggie Grace played Kim, the daughter which was to help Neeson to rescue himself against the thugs in Istanbul.

Charming and Youthful
If you want to see the sights of Istanbul all in a single movie, this is it!

Oldish Charm
Great movie, never a time to take your eyes off the screen!

The Hadi Gambit-SunTzu Style?

Goliath
Najib may be popular but this is no Obama-Mitt Romney presidential campaign.

If PAS should allow its President Hadi to take on Najib, it is truly a page from Sun Tzu's Art of War.

Versus goliath
As much as his supporters may claim that he has more national appeal and can canvass around the country to bring in the votes for BN, Hadi'sentry into the Pekan poll will force an encampment of Najib in Pekan- A siege of sort until he is assured of a comfortable margin of victory.

For now, we have to wait whether Hadi will be allowed to contest in Pekan.

Brigadoon-Once in Every 100 Years

Rapture
Took time off from patent editing to watch a 1954 musical called Brigadoon.

A magical village somewhere in Scotland that appears once in every 100 years. Yet for 2 American tourists out shooting ducks, they found it by chance.

Apparently, someone called on the dark forces to preserve this small village forever sacrificing himself in the process.

Adoring
For Frank and Jeff, they had a lifetime of a day with Frank falling in love with Fiona.

Yet they left Brigadoon for New York.

For Frank, love was too strong and he had to go back to Scotland to see Fiona once more and leave no more.

As the tale goes, the magic will come back if love is true and enduring and Frank found Fiona.

The melody of "What a day this has been for the whole human race, it 's just like falling in love" will worm itself into your heart and mind.

Great oldie to watch to take time off.

Time for Tea with Cyd Charisse
Cyd Charisse is mesmerisingly beautiful and her dance with Gene Kelly is truly memorable!
