Shooting Off Your Mouth

Yes, these comments are just...... incredulous.

They are equally laughable.

Enjoy.

What happens when you shoot off your mouth!!

Fun Time at the Olympics!
News of Olympic Proportions

Here are the top nine comments made by NBC sports commentators during past Summer Olympics that they would like to take back:

1. Weightlifting commentator: "This is Gregoriava from Bulgaria . I saw her snatch this morning during her warm up and it was amazing."

2. Dressage commentator: "This is really a lovely horse and I speak from personal experience since I once mounted her mother."

3. Paul Hamm, Gymnast: "I owe a lot to my parents, especially my mother and father."

4. Boxing Analyst: "Sure there have been injuries, and even some deaths in boxing, but none of them really that serious."

5. Softball announcer: "If history repeats itself, I should think we can expect the same thing again."

6. Basketball analyst: "He dribbles a lot and the opposition doesn't  like it.  In fact you can see it all over their faces."

7. At the rowing medal ceremony: "Ah, isn't that nice, the wife  of the IOC president is hugging the cox of the British crew."

8. Soccer commentator: "Julian Dicks is everywhere. It's like they've got eleven Dicks on the field."

9. Tennis commentator: "One of the reasons Andy is playing so well is that, before the final round, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them...
Oh my God, what have I just said?"

Get the Spread, BJLand Told

A Potential Placement ?

BJLand has received a rejection on its application to maintain a lower public shareholding spread. It's current spread is only 18.63%.

This shows that most of the shares are held by the Berjaya Group of companies and its allies.

As the Sports Toto shares will be put under a reit in Singapore, I do not see why the shares must be amassed and held tightly anymore.

The more the spread, the better will be its activity.

Bursa KL however have given BJLand an extension of time to comply with the public shareholding

Will there be a share placement in the offing?

BJFoods and Its Warrants-Opening Trades

Losing traction

Well, as expected the price of BJFoods (BJF) slumped to 92 sen before recovering to 94 sen for a loss of 3 sen.

The warrants opened at 48 sen before being traded down to 42 sen.

If you take the price of RM1.43 sen before it went ex-all, the difference will be RM1.43-94 sen = (a loss of 49sen) sen. Tack on 42 sen and you still lose 7 sen.

So, for those who kept the share and took the rights and warrants, it is a loss if you bought in at RM1.43 sen cum rights.

Only those who bought at RM1.36 will break even on gross; losing on nett.

Those who bought at  RM1.32 will scrap through with no losses.

What you need to do is maybe become a long-term player on this counter and hope that Starbucks will bring big bucks to you!

So, have you got the picture now?

Another Writing Job

To Write Expressively

Maybe I am risking it but I guess I still have the capacity to take on this one. God willing.

This is an assignment to write something on web business.

The trick is to digest the fundamentals of business in the virtual world; its early beginnings and the current action in the ever dynamic and competitive virtual platforms using Facebook to other social working networks.

The only thing is to make it understandable to the layman.

A Malaysian Indian as a Potential Second DPM?

Opening a Possibility?
The Malaysian political fabric is certainly fraying at the seams with NGOs now jumping on the bandwagon when political parties remain deafeningly mute on off-colour issues like demanding that an Indian be made  a Second DPM.

Trust MIC not to be tangled in this fangled issue. They will not leave the comfort zone.

So, NIAT which stands for the National Indian Action Rights Team has done MIC a favour it has never dared asked for even in private.

That Ambiga also appears in this team is fodder to feed on.

Will she be plunging into politics now?

Domestic Violence on Males

Reason to Beat him!

It may not be reported in the mainstream media.

It happens.

Just like there is under reporting for crimes and cases of psychiatry, male abuse by their spouses is getting significant.

The latest report in THE STAR today tells us that the Welfare Department received 25 reports from men who were abused by their wives or girlfriends last year, 32 in 2010 and 14 in 2009.

Most cases were reported in Selangor, followed by the Federal Territory, and the offences included threatening injury, causing physical harm, emotional abuse and locking up the men.

The Department of Women Development received four cases of abused men last year, with financial disagreement being the root of all cases.

In each case, “the wife is more dominant in the family and earns a higher income than the husband,” it said in an e-mail.

Women, on the other hand, reported 117 cases of domestic abuse up to June this year, compared to 649 last year and 663 in 2010.

Neuro-psychologist Dr Nivashinie Mohan said that financial stress was the major cause of domestic violence against men.

“Studies have shown that women assault men about as often as men assault women,” she said.

“While men tend to cause more damage because they are usually stronger, women can even the odds with weapons such as knives, high heels and sharp nails.”

Dr Nivashinie said abused men were reluctant to turn to the authorities for fear of appearing “unmanly”.

“Society also teaches men that it's wrong to hit women, so they don't retaliate,” she added.

Many of the women who abused men were alcoholic while some could be suffering from certain personality disorders that cause them to be violent towards their partners.

MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong said that some women were breadwinners and abused their husbands for “reckless spending”.

He also encountered four cases of wives becoming violent after learning that their spouses had affairs.

Consultant psychiatrist Dr Ting Joe Hang said women might look on spouses who earn less as “useless” and as a result, would abuse them.

He said there may be reasons other than money problems.

Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Heng Seai Kie said there was no excuse for domestic violence.

Incidentally males who give all of their income or most of it to their spouses will also likely to be abused by them.

So, watched out!
